Vern Crowley, Detective Sergeant – Ontario Provincial Police
Team Leader, Investigator – Cybercrime Investigation Team, Investigation & Support Bureau
Detective Sergeant Crowley is a 29-year member of the Ontario Provincial Police and is the Outreach Manager of the OPP Cybercrime Investigations Team, based out of the Cyber Operations Center located in Orillia, Ontario. He has been working on cases involving digital evidence since 2000 and is a senior Cybercrime Investigator that holds several computer industry certifications. This presentation will raise awareness on what the threats are and the steps you can take to protect your information, thereby target hardening your systems and preventing the victimization caused by cybercrimes.
